Smith & Co is an art consultancy specialising in bespoke artwork for Interior Design and hospitality projects. We work at the intersection of art, architecture, and narrative—creating considered collections that respond to place, context, and design intent.

Smith & Co began in 2019 with founder Solomon, whose relationship with art was formed early. A framed print of Matisse’s La Musique hung in his parents’ flat, shaping his understanding of art as something intimate and lived-in—something that makes a space feel like home. That stayed with him, and after leaving a career in Corporate Sales, the art world found him.

An early trip to New York clarified what was missing. Interior designers were seeking artwork that was not only beautifully made and easy to specify, but authentic — work with cultural depth and a story to tell. From this insight, Smith & Co’s founding mission emerged: to curate and commission art that resonates with its architectural context, while being delivered seamlessly—ready to hang, on time, and on budget.

Today Smith & Co operates as a creative bridge between clients and artists, working closely with a growing network of emerging artists, artisanal framers, and specialist production facilities across Europe, North America, and Australia. From intimate spaces to large-scale developments, our work is shaped with precision and clarity allowing Smith & Co to grow into a global partner for Interior Designers. By combining exploration with open dialogue, we yearn to translate local stories, cultural references, and architectural cues into conceptually rich work. Our approach values longevity over trend.
